Hannah the Giant

Hannah in a Bush

In a small town, Hom Pom, lived a middle aged couple. One day, when they were walking in the forest adjoining their town, they heard crying. Surprised, they cocked their ears and looked around. The sound seemed to be coming from a nearby bush, so they went there.

They saw a little baby crying. It was pointing to the sky. Eager to help, they brought it home. “Aww, it’s a girl!” the woman cooed. The couple named her Hannah.

Hannah at Home

Her only problem was, well this, she was ENORMOUS! Even though, Hannah only a year old, she was tall enough to be in 10th grade. And smart enough too. She was really hardworking and always studied. But with every passing day, she was finding it harder to read books, because they were small and she just kept getting bigger. By the time she was three, she barely fit under the doorways. On her 4th birthday the couple had to get rid of the false ceiling. Now at 5, Hannah finding the living situation impossible, had asked to return her to the forest she was found in.

Realizing that there was no other option, the couple agreed.

Hannah in the Forest

Hannah and her parents packed up supplies and set out for the forest. Hannah found a clearing. She used nearby trees to build a house for her and the supplies. Soon they had loaded the supplies in it.

Hannah’s mother and father said together, “Hannah, we promise to visit and re- stock you every weekend.”

Sadly the turned away to leave, when a giant boomed, “She was born on a space ship…”

Hannah the Alien

“Cool I’m a space girl!” Hannah was thrilled.

“Don’t interrupt,” the giant glared at Hannah. But then she remembered Hannah’s parents, cleared her throat and continued, “Our spaceship was taking enemy fire. That’s when a malfunction caused the landing ladder to activate. Hannah fell through the opening and down the ladder.. Fighting for our lives as we tried to evade pursuit, we did not realize what had happened until we had returned to our home world. We have been searching for her ever since.”

“Five years?” Hannah’s mother asked. “Is she really so important to you?” “Hannah’s biological mother blessed her with the intelligence to figure out how to defeat our enemy. We must take her back with us.”

Hannah’s parents knew it was best for her kind, so sadly they said “Okay, bye Hannah dear.”.

Hannah sang out, “Yay I get to see a spaceship yay yay yay...”

She lived happily, as she worked hard to protect her race. She was a very busy girl yet she never forgot her parents from earth.
